Me, me, me. All about me.

Words, words, words. All the words. Who am I and what is the deal with me and words?

My love affair with words began when I was young, as all such relationships do. Before I could read or write them, I made my mother tell me how to spell my chosen words, letter by laborious letter, as I inserted them into cartoon bubbles (I’m a lousy artist, but she loved me anyway). Now, I write fiction, plays, and poetry. Many, many words.

I joined the Authors Guild, the Dramatists Guild of America, and the Philadelphia Dramatists Center to be close to words and the people that conjure with them. I earned a BA in English from Villanova University, and an MFA from Bennington College in pursuit of excellent words. Currently, I’m smashing together great mountains of words as tribute to the gods–or my first novel, or both. My plays have been staged in Philadelphia and New York, and my work has appeared in literary magazines, including: Seaside Gothic, Torch, Menagerie, The Ampersand, and a tiny Philadelphian street sheet that had a short, but happy life.

Oh, and I work as a project manager and communications specialist just so I can stream words from my mouth for fun and spare change (Right! Multi-channel content strategy! Communication program management! Business project delivery! Risk assessment! Change management! Blah, blah! Good talk!).

So, now you know. My deal with words is simple: I love them.
